Designed by Kenyon Yeh for Menu, the Wall Console Table is a mobile table with unexpected inspiration. According to Yeh, he thought of the design after observing a cheerleading practice at a neighboring school. A male cheerleader was doing a wall-sit, while a female cheerleader stood on his thighs with her arms outstretched. This scene inspired Yeh to create a sturdy table with unexpected support. The table only has two legs, but rests against a wall, adding significant stability to the spare form. The smartly folded tabletop ensures that no extra supports are needed for the table, making it conveniently mobile for a variety of occasions. The table can be used in an entryway, as a side table, or even as a minimalist bedside table.
